NEW YORK, NY – September 10, 2025 – The Enhanced Games today announced that Ben Proud, the 2024 Olympic Silver Medalist, is officially set to compete in the inaugural Enhanced Games next May. This move reinforces Enhanced Games ability to deliver an unprecedented level of competition and further solidify its position as a disruptive force in elite sports.
“My ambition has always been to be the fastest man on the planet,” said Ben Proud. “I’ve spent years striving for that within traditional sport, but my motivations have shifted. Now, I want to focus on performance at its highest level and challenge myself in new ways. The Enhanced Games gives me that chance - to test the limits of human potential with the tools and possibilities of our time.”
Proud's remarkable career speaks for itself. He recently won a silver medal in the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore in the 50m freestyle. Ben became World Champion in 2017 in the 50m butterfly and World Champion in 50m freestyle in 2022. Ben became the first person in history to win World, Commonwealth, European and British titles in the same year. Ben has been consistently at the top of world sprint swimming for over 10 years and secured his first Olympic medal with silver at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
Proud's participation sets the stage for a truly must-see 50m freestyle event at the Enhanced Games, where he will go head-to-head with the current world record holder Kristian Gkolomeev and 3-time Olympic medalist James Magnussen. This highly anticipated matchup will offer a rare and exhilarating opportunity to witness the fastest male swimmers compete against one another on a truly unprecedented global stage.
"Bringing an athlete of Ben’s caliber to the Enhanced Games is truly amazing," said Maximilian Martin, CEO of the Enhanced Games. "Our mission is to offer athletes the ability to perform at their absolute highest level and get paid appropriately for their incredible talent. Ben's decision to join us underscores the growing appeal of the Enhanced Games as the future of elite competition."
The inaugural Enhanced Games will take place on May 24, 2026 and be held at a purpose-built competition complex at Resorts World Las Vegas. The state-of-the-art facility will feature a four-lane 50-meter pool, a six-lane sprint track, and a bespoke weightlifting stage.
