German Olympian Marius Kusch Joins Growing Roster for Inaugural Enhanced Games

NEW YORK, NY –  September 24, 2025   –   Today, the Enhanced Games announced that German Olympian Marius Kusch will compete in the inaugural Enhanced Games next May. Kusch, a veteran of the 2020 Summer Olympics, joins an expanding roster of elite swimmers preparing for the landmark event.

"Joining the Enhanced Games is a chance to push myself to the limit and compete against some of the best athletes in the world for an unprecedented purse," said Marius Kusch. "Next year’s event will be an incredible competition, and one I am truly excited to be a part of."

Kusch brings a decorated career to the Enhanced Games. He has competed internationally for Germany at events including the 2017 World Aquatics Championships and the 2020 Olympics. His accolades include a bronze medal in the 100m butterfly at the 2017 European Championships and a bronze medal in the 4x100m medley relay at the 2018 European Championships.

During his collegiate career, Kusch was a multi-time All-American and a 19-time NCAA Division II national champion. He holds NCAA Division II records in several events, including the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard IM. At the Enhanced Games, he is expected to compete in the 50M & 100 butterfly.

The inaugural Enhanced Games will take place on May 24, 2026 and will be held at a purpose-built competition complex at Resorts World Las Vegas. The state-of-the-art facility will feature a four-lane 50-meter pool, a six-lane sprint track, and a bespoke weightlifting stage. Every event will be streamed globally in a digital format designed to transform the way audiences experience sport.

The Enhanced Games offers unprecedented financial incentives for athletes. Each individual event will carry a total prize purse of $500,000, with $250,000 awarded to first place. In addition to this, the Enhanced Games will offer appearance fees and a staggering $1 million for breaking world records in the 100m sprint and 50m freestyle – recognized as the definitive tests of raw human speed.
