NEW YORK, NY – September 30, 2025 – The Enhanced Games today announced that Boady Santavy, a 2-time Olympian and a medalist at the Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games, is officially set to compete in the inaugural Enhanced Games next May. Santavy becomes the first weightlifter and Canadian athlete to commit for next year's games.
"I'm incredibly excited for the opportunity to compete in the Enhanced Games and push my body to its absolute limits to try to set a new world record,” said Boady Santavy. “I'm looking forward to the fierce competition that I’ll be competing against.”
Boady Santavy comes from a notable weightlifting family, with his grandfather Bob and his father Dalas both having competed at major international events like the Olympics, Pan American Games, and Commonwealth Games. Boady has established his own impressive career, finishing fourth at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and winning a silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games. His Olympic performance was the best by a male Canadian weightlifter in decades, continuing his family's legacy of excellence in the sport.
"Boady is not just an incredible athlete; but he embodies the very spirit of the Enhanced Games. His decision to join us is another powerful statement that top-tier talent is ready for a new era in sports—one that prioritizes scientific advancement, transparency, and rewards athletes for their dedication,” said Maximilian Martin, CEO of the Enhanced Games. “We are thrilled to welcome him as the first member of our weightlifting team, and look forward to watching him push the boundaries of human performance."
The inaugural Enhanced Games will take place over Memorial Day Weekend 2026, will be held at a purpose-built competition complex inside Resorts World Las Vegas. The state-of-the-art facility will feature a four-lane 50-meter pool, a six-lane sprint track, and a bespoke weightlifting stage. Every event will be streamed globally in a fully immersive digital format designed to transform the way audiences experience sport.
The Enhanced Games offers unprecedented financial incentives for athletes. Each individual event will carry a total prize purse of $500,000, with $250,000 awarded to first place. In addition to this, the Enhanced Games will offer appearance fees and a staggering $1 million for breaking world records in the 100m sprint and 50m freestyle – recognized as the definitive tests of raw human speed.
